Scotland’s biggest gaming festival, Insomnia X Resonate, is in Glasgow from this Friday through to Sunday for a weekend of all things gaming, featuring a new virtual reality zone and the first Scotland v England YouTubers battle.
The VR Zone will allow visitors to experience the latest headsets and games. The Retro Zone is an old-school throwback to classic games and the Indie Zone is an interactive area where guests can play, compete and watch up-and-coming games before they are released! The popular Minecraft Zone also makes a return.
Other highlights include meet and greets with Youtube Stars and a Scotland v England daily Youtubers battle at 1300 hours with special guests including 8-bit gaming, Marley Thirteen and more. Nintendo’s hottest console, the Switch, will feature on stage every day at 11am.
For the competitively natured, there are turn-up and play tournaments for both console and PC fans battling it out to win prizes on gaming big timers such as Rocket League, Tekken and FIFA. A gaming festival mashup designed for gamers, whether you are a novice, casual gamer or an expert there’s something for everyone, say the organisers.
The action-packed festival takes place at Scottish Event Campus.
