Sustainably, a social good technology company for conscious consumers and businesses who want to localise and personalise their corporate social responsibility programmes, has won Best of Show at Finovate Fall, held last week in New York.

Based in Edinburgh, Sustainably provides a new way of living and giving so individuals can change the world just by living their busy lives. When they donate they can track their impact, understanding the difference they can make to the world around them, and inspires trust in the good causes they are donating to.

They are able to donate on their terms, privately and anonymously, with complete control so they can pause or change their donation whenever they want, and will never receive unwanted direct mail, phone calls or texts.

Privacy and control

Sustainably works with national and local charities, and brands helping busy consumers to change the world everytime they shop by rounding up cashless transactions and giving direct to the causes they care about, with total privacy, transparency and control.

The win caps a significant 12 months for the company, with highlights including launching its innovative social good platform for consumers and businesses that turns the spare change from shopping into micro-donations to philanthropic causes, using bank transaction and location data.

Automatically rounding up

Speaking of the award win, Loral Quinn, co-founder and CEO of Sustainably said: “I would like to thank my team and especially my co-founder and daughter Eishel. I would not be here without them. Winning this award is testament to their amazing work. And thank you to all the attendees at Finovate who believe in our vision and our technology, and who voted for us to win this award, ahead of all the outstanding fintech companies demoing at the event.”

Launched in response to increasing demand for customers wanting to increase trust and transparency in the charity sector, Sustainably works by connecting your Monzo card (other cards coming soon) to Sustainably and automatically rounding up on their behalf whenever they use their card or connected devices and distributing to their good causes.

The company currently employs 5 staff and has plans to hire a further six. The company also plans to add 11 UK high street banks and more challenger banks, and to officially launch RealTimeCSR so retailers and employers can match donate with their customers and employers in real time, scaling in the UK, then in the US in the year ahead.
