Wanted: project manager to deliver Digital Skills Partnership

Technologies industry organisation ScotlandIS is looking for a project development manager to establish the new Digital Skills Partnership, a collaboration between universities, colleges and industry aimed at making the education system more responsive to changing skills requirements.

The partnership was one of the initiatives outlined in the Scottish Government’s Enhancing Learning and Teaching Through the Use of Digital Technology¬†strategy published last September. Now ScotlandIS, supported by the Scottish Funding Council and Skills Development Scotland, has advertised a ¬£40-45,000 a year, two-year contract to “develop, deliver and manage the partnership”.

“This is an exciting opportunity to create a new partnership that will strengthen relationships between academia and industry and provide input to curriculum design, support continuous professional development for academic teaching staff and monitor trends in the industry to enable academia to respond to employers changing skills requirements,” it said.
