Police Scotland

Police Scotland is committed to keeping people safe in the digital world as part of its Cyber Strategy.  As part of that commitment Police Scotland is transforming the response to the ever evolving threat of cybercrime. Equipping frontline officers with mobile devices is already making a positive change to the operational policing approach in Scotland through the improved use of technology and a change in culture which allows officers to work more effectively within communities.  Currently Police Scotland is collaborating with the College of Policing in the development of a version of their CyberDigiTools application. The application will provide detailed at scene information to frontline officers on dealing with cyber incidents, and practical advice on securing digital evidence, thus empowering officers to provide the best initial response and enhance service delivery. The College of Policing is the professional body with responsibility for setting standards and provision of training to police forces across England and Wales.
