Transforming Public Services

Leveraging Cloud, Data & AI to build next generation services

19 January 2023 I 08:30-17:00 I In-person
Technology & Innovation Centre, Glasgow

Service technologies are helping organisations to harness the power of data, artificial intelligence and IoT in a new wave of public service innovation.

In a brand-new conference from Futurescot, Transforming Public Services will bring together digital leaders as they chart a path towards public services that are quickly evolving from the transactional to the transformational.

Based on the desire in Scotland’s national digital strategy to design public services that ‘work for us all’, cloud-based technologies are one way to secure that aim: by ‘simplifying and automating the processes that underpin services to improve responsiveness and reduce the opportunity for things to go wrong’. Whether that’s using an AI assistant – in the form of a chatbot – or using algorithms to analyse patient data sets, there is now a recognition that data-driven innovation can yield considerable benefits to digitally mature organisations.

We look at how collaboration is key to that aim: at a national level in Scotland, innovation agencies are working more than ever with public bodies, academic institutions, and industry to maximise the potential of their legacy data with new technology environments and business models.
