First Minister John Swinney has confirmed that the rollout of a national health and social care app – ‘MyCare.scot’ – will commence at the end of 2025.

The service – which will be a ‘single means of access to citizen health and care information and to health and care services – will begin in the NHS Lanarkshire region as part of a phased introduction nationwide.

This critical development is part of a suite of national policies designed to bring Scotland’s health and social care systems into a new era, with digital technology seen as a crucial part of NHS reform, modernisation and future service delivery.

Featuring domestic and international expertise, Health & Social Care Transformation will showcase the impact that digital technology and new approaches to data are having on Scotland’s NHS and social care sector, bringing together tech and policy leaders with industry and academia in a ‘triple helix’ effect.

We want to surface these learnings to help you and your organisations unlock the power of innovation and collaboration required to bring AI, machine learning, telehealth, and integrated care systems to Scotland’s health and social care services, where they are very much needed.

Learning objectives:

  • Understand the latest strategic direction and policy guidance on technology in healthcare from government, NHS and social care leaders
  • Gain an insight into Scotland’s critical MyCare.Scot programme – and see how we can learn from leading e-health nations such as Denmark
  • Learn how to implement tech in your organisation from world-class industry and health and social care speakers
  • Take advantage of tech deep dives into Data & AI, telecare, integrated care systems and platforms in a series of leadership sessions and industry masterclasses
  • Connect with industry and government peers to strengthen your networks and tap into opportunities to collaborate
