Geovation Scotland is a partnership between Registers of Scotland and Ordnance Survey that supports the acceleration of location and property innovation in Scotland.
We help unlock greater value from our national geospatial, land & property data assets by supporting entrepreneurs, innovators and developers bring new location data and property services to market through an accelerator programme for early-stage founders and a UK-wide community of proptech and geotech experts.
To date, the Geovation Scotland programme has supported 17 early-stage startup founders across both the accelerator and Entrepreneur-in-Residence programmes. Since receiving Geovation support, these early-stage founders have raised just over £1.2m of funding and inward investment, created 30 full-time jobs (in addition to offering 3 internships in partnership with Scottish Universities) and have received recognition in the form of 17 award nominations and wins, as well as representation within the BusinessCloud ‘Scottish Tech 50’.
Our bespoke accelerator programme offers technology entrepreneurs looking to accelerate the growth of their businesses a range of support – from finance, sales, pitching and marketing to data access, development support, up to £15k of grant funding and much more
Our programme alumni straddle many sectors, including Space, Agriculture, AI, Transport, Infrastructure and Health. Our most recent cohort supported three companies whom are specifically focussed on sustainability;
- Grand Bequest are a property technology company using data analytics, conservation, and sustainability to promote the global redevelopment of vacant buildings,
- PropEco are helping lenders/homeowners deal with the risks climate change is having on the value and liveability of properties across the UK, managing risk and accessing emerging opportunities through AI powered technology and detailed assessments
- And finally, Enjoy the Air Limited (ETA) who provide data and analytics for cities, specifically in the areas of air quality and mobility. ETA examines the inner urban environment, links it to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and provides real, clear, data-driven strategies – to grow your city.
We are proud to continue to support some of Scotland’s most innovative start up companies and are always looking to connect with founders keen to work with land and property or geospatial data.
We are also always keen to broaden our network of public sector supporters and partner organisations who can join community and work with us to help us support early stage startups working in the property, place and geospatial sectors through the sharing of expertise and/or data.
