Birmingham cyber security firm set to open Scottish office as part of ‘ambitious’ expansion plan

A Birmingham-based cyber security company is set to expand its operation into Scotland.

Equilibrium Security is opening a new office branch at 83 Princes Street in Edinburgh.

The firm believes that this will ‘foster a new era in the company’s culture, the way it does business and will have a positive impact on the companies continued growth.’

A spokesperson said: “This new office opening is an important milestone which marks a new era for the business. Equilibrium is looking forward to expanding the team as well as growing their client base in Scotland.

“This new chapter has been a long time in the making, over the past year there has been a lot of hard work behind the scenes to ensure the successful strategic growth of the company.”

As well as this new team in Edinburgh, over the past six months the firm has expanded its sales and technical team at its HQ in Birmingham.

Equilibrium has an ambitious vision for the future growth of the company and has ‘strong strategic relationships’ with security vendors such as Cisco, Splunk and Tripwire. Using their Cyber Security expertise alongside these strong vendor relationships, they aim to become a name synonymous with Cyber Security nationwide.

Anish Chauhan, Director of Equilibrium Security Services, said: “Following on from our continued expansion and growth, I’m delighted that we’re opening another office in Edinburgh.  The talented individuals we’ve found coupled with the customers north of the border we’ve been helping recently meant that the opening of our second, but equally critical location did become somewhat of a natural progression of growth.  As our cyber security offering continues to adapt and adjust to the complexities and variety of threats, so does our agility and responsiveness to our clients.  Our Edinburgh office helps us further enhance this capability.”
