Glasgow-based training provider TRCmedia has today (11th October) opened applications for its flagship training programme for senior creative/tech professionals in Scotland’s thriving digital media sector.

Running from November 2017 to May 2018, the programme comprises five monthly in-house training sessions delivered by industry experts and leading trainers as well as an international field trip to Canada’s famous Toronto-Waterloo Region Corridor, the largest technology cluster in North America outside of San Francisco.

Running since 2008

TRC welcome applications from candidates who will use this opportunity to drive their business forward.

Now in its ninth year of operation, TRC has supported 78 business executives through the Cross Creative programme since its first run in 2008.

International field trip and monthly sessions

Each of the monthly sessions has a unique focus, with topics ranging from creative processes for problem solving to financing and scaling up.

The programme gives delegates the unique opportunity to learn alongside seven industry peers, sharing business issues and solutions.

The final part of the programme is an international field trip to digital centres of excellence in Canada’s famous centre of innovation- the Toronto-Waterloo Region Corridor.

Valuable networking opportunities

Nathan Fulwood, Co-Founder and Strategy Director of Edinburgh-based Creative Consultancy CreateFuture, and a delegate of the 2016 programme said:

“Cross Creative came at exactly the right point in my career to support my own personal growth, and the ambitions of my company. The introductions to mentors and coaches, and the trip to San Francisco have been extremely useful, but it was the opportunity to network with and learn from my peers in the industry over 6 months that has been most valuable.”

Cross Creative is funded by Scottish Enterprise, Creative Scotland, Channel 4 and BBC. The programme is open to senior creative/tech professionals with strategic influence within a commercial creative business in the digital media sector in Scotland.

Applications are open now and will close on 6pm on Friday, 27 October. Shortlisted candidates will be notified during the week of October 30th and should be available for a telephone interview if shortlisted.
