A five-day festival and summit will celebrate the ‘vibrancy’ of ethnic minority communities in Scotland later this month.

The annual Scottish Ethnic Minority Talent Summit and Festival 2024 takes place from 29 October to 2 November – with a series of talks, workshops, networking opportunities, and cultural festivities designed to unlock Scotland’s potential through diversity and innovation.

The event kicks off on October 29 with the African-Scottish Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Pipeline, a free event spotlighting Scotland’s African and minority entrepreneurs and organised in collaboration with DataKirk, Techscaler, and Bruce Walker.

Later that evening, DataKirk and FanDuel are hosting a networking session designed to help budding entrepreneurs accelerate their careers, tap into mentorship opportunities, and unlock their professional potential.

And on October 30, an empowering session with Lara Oyedele will demonstrate how people can transform rejection and career setbacks into valuable growth opportunities.

The main event on October 31 – the Scottish Ethnic Minority Talent Summit – will take place at Tynecastle Park in Edinburgh, featuring feature thought-provoking panels and discussions on the future of Scotland’s workforce, inclusive hiring practices, and strategies for fostering diverse talent across key industries.

Fash Fasoro, CEO of DataKirk, said: “This Summit and Festival is more than just an event; it’s a movement. It’s about opening doors to opportunity, sparking new ideas, and building a Scotland where everyone, regardless of background, has the chance to thrive. Whether you’re looking to expand your network, accelerate your career, or simply celebrate the richness of Scotland’s cultures, you won’t want to miss this. Let’s come together and build the future we all deserve.”
