DEALS

Kumulos, the Dundee-based software company which has developed a platform for managing mobile apps, has completed a £750,000 funding round backed by Mercia Fund Managers, the Scottish Investment Bank, and angel investors.

Kitchen designer, retailer and manufacturer Harvey Jones has chosen Glasgow-based Equator to lead its digital marketing activity. Equator said it “will overhaul Harvey Jones’ marketing strategy, integrating SEO, PPC and display to ensure the channels work harder to drive more sales.”

APPOINTMENTS

Customer loyalty app, Swipii, has brought on board three senior technology executives as it “prepares for a period of rapid expansion”. Swipii was created to help small firms attract repeat business via its online customer loyalty platform. It has appointed Skyscanner growth director, Janet Balneaves to its executive team. It has also appointed former Skyscanner chief operating officer, Mark Logan and 5pm.co.uk founder, Ronnie Somerville, both as non-executive directors to its board.

Raven Controls, part of ID Resilience, has appointed Gavin Dutch as non-executive chief technology officer. Dutch was the founder of mobile app developer Kotikan, which was bought by Fanduel in 2015.
