One week to go! Deadline fast approaching for Futurescot AI Challenge

There is a week to go before the deadline for entries for this year’s Futurescot AI Challenge – designed to encourage Scottish public sector bodies to take their first steps with the technology.

As you approach the close of submissions date on August 22, here is a quick recap on some of the resources we have produced to help you apply some final touches to your application.

  1. AI Agents Explained

AI agents handy guide – AI Agents are a buzzword of 2025 but how are they actually applied in Scottish Public Sector? This article explores to how to get started with AI Agents in a pragmatic and useful way.

2. No One Size Fits All

Technology options for AI – The market for AI is crowded with different solutions and how do public sector leaders make sense of this? This article provides some guidance on the main options based on your use cases.

3. Navigating Ethics

Navigating ethical issues – How do you accelerate AI whilst ensuring that guardrails are in place for responsible use of the technology. This article highlights some key learnings from last year’s AI Challenge.

4. Proof of Concept

Understanding the proof of concept process – Three short listed organisations will get the chance to go through a free of charge focused 12-week AI design sprint with industry partner StormID to co-design and develop a working proof of concept. This article outlines what to expect.
