A Glasgow based artificial intelligence-driven health firm has appointed a New York based executive as it eyes US expansion.

Industry sales and marketing veteran Mike Strassberg will take on the role of chief customer officer at Talking Medicines.

The data tech company is designed to meet the needs of pharma-marketeers by using a collection of technologies to capture and analyse the conversations and behaviours of patients at home in order to deliver intelligence on usage across medicines.

Strassberg joins Talking Medicines having led sales and marketing at global health life sciences marketing agency Eversana Intouch B2D for the last three years.

With 30 years’ of experience in the health and life sciences industry, he will aim to drive growth, build new relationships and help Talking Medicines promote its AI platform PatientMetRx.

Talking Medicines opened its New Jersey office earlier this year and has already secured contracts with a number of leading US-based medical advertising agencies.

Strassberg said: “Building a patient-centric commercial organisation has become a necessity for life sciences companies, and by extension their marketing agencies, but until now there has been limited insight into actual patient experiences.

“The PatientMetRx cloud-based software, powered by Talking Medicines’ AI enabled platform, provides a unique view of the patient voice, which can illuminate the patient perspective, delivering better health outcomes.

“It’s an exciting time to join the business, with the innovative Patient Opinion Mapping feature showcasing just how powerful the insights from the system can be.

“Several major marketing agencies have already subscribed to PatientMetRx and I’m looking forward to driving further growth and building a US operation.”

Jo Halliday, co-founder and chief executive of Talking Medicines said: “Just as Talking Medicines is the voice of patients, Mike will be the voice of our customers, providing a consistent and seamless experience, driving growth, establishing new relationships, managing current accounts, and building a global customer-centric organisation.

“With extensive experience in the sector Mike will open doors for us and continue to expand our network.

“I am looking forward to collaborating closely with him as we enter an exciting phase in the growth of the business.”
