GoFibre has been named one of Scotland’s fifty fastest-growing businesses by the UK Fast Growth Index 2025, the nationwide programme celebrating the most dynamic and rapidly expanding companies across the UK.
The Scottish Borders-based connectivity firm received the accolade for its ‘remarkable growth trajectory’ and spirit of innovation and market impact.
Firms like GoFibre represent only a small percentage of UK companies, but drive a disproportionately large share of new jobs and economic prosperity each year. Often operating at the forefront of their industries, those businesses push boundaries—introducing fresh ideas, pioneering technologies, and transformative services that help shape the future of their sectors.
All fifty firms featured in this year’s Index will now compete for honours at the 2025 UK Fast Growth Awards, taking place in London on November 26th. The event will celebrate the fastest-growing businesses across sectors and regions, shining a spotlight on the entrepreneurial excellence fuelling Britain’s economy.
The UK Fast Growth Index spotlights the fifty fastest-growing companies in seven key regions and nations: London; the Midlands and East of England; the North of England; Northern Ireland; Scotland; the South of England; and Wales. Collectively, last year’s 350 featured firms achieved an astonishing £9.6 billion increase in turnover between 2021 and 2023, creating 24,000 new jobs in just two years.
Neil Conaghan, CEO, GoFibre, said: “Being named among Scotland’s fastest-growing companies is an incredible honour and achievement for GoFibre.
“As a company we’ve demonstrated strong commercial success, not just in the context of the independent broadband provider sector, but as a Scottish company generally.
“Our growth has been built on our ambitious, people-friendly culture – adding customers while retaining our hyper-local, customer-centred approach, demonstrated for instance by our industry-leading Trustpilot score. I’m so proud of all that GoFibre has achieved since our founding in the Borders in 2017 and look forward to continued growth while retaining what makes GoFibre unique.”
Professor Dylan Jones-Evans OBE, Founder of the UK Fast Growth Index, added: “The UK Fast Growth Index demonstrates how a small number of fast-growing firms, such as GoFibre, can make a substantial contribution to the UK’s economic landscape. These companies embody innovation, enterprise, and sheer hard work—qualities that make a real difference across every sector, from construction to financial services to technology.”
