Edinburgh based Airts, an AI-driven software startup, has today announced three new hires to meet growing global demand.

Today’s hires include their first Vice President of Engineering, Simon Cromarty.

Strong international demand for Airts’ unique planning optimisation software has seen the business enjoy year on year revenue growth of over 300%. 

Simon Cromarty aka The Agile Pirate, joins as VP of Engineering, relocating to Edinburgh from Cambridge, where he was previously VP of Engineering at fashion tech company Metai. Simon brings 20 plus years’ experience in senior leadership roles at companies including Worldpay, GE, and Oracle. Also joining are Ludmila Walker as Front End Designer, and Adrian Dragus, as Senior Software Engineer.   

Airts’ product Braid provides AI-powered people planning software for the professional services industry, counting two of the Big Four accountancy firms as clients. It’s currently used by more than 10,000 practitioners across seven countries and four continents. Braid offers a unique solution for optimising professional service firms’ profitability, client satisfaction, and employee happiness, and international demand is high.

This year, Braid won the ScotlandIS 2019 Best New Product award, and the Scottish Accountancy & Financial Technology Award, and is continuing to hire to meet growing global demand.
