Edinburgh-based technology company Make it Social has signed a deal with Skiworld, the largest independent ski specialist in the UK. The news follows partnerships with Ambassador Theatre Group, Ticketmaster and, most recently, The Ticket Factory.
This latest agreement means that those booking a ski holiday through Skiworld will be able to take advantage of make it social’s unique technology which enables people to book as a group but pay individually. Figures show that the ease of booking increases the average group size by six people.
“Skiing is very much a shared activity – a recent industry report found that a third of skiers book holidays with friends,” said Diane Palumbo, Skiworld’s director of sales and marketing. “We are always looking for ways to make things smoother and simpler for customers and ‘make it social’ makes this possible.”
Make it Social founder Eddie Robb added: “We are delighted to be able to offer more people the chance to use our product as an online vehicle to go offline and do more things in the real world. I am passionate about snowsports so am particularly excited to be opening this up to the skiing community via Skiworld.”
