For decades, Denmark has built a strong international reputation as a frontrunner in the digitalisation of healthcare.
Through a clear national strategy, unique health data infrastructure, and close collaboration between public authorities and private companies, Denmark has created an ecosystem where life science and digital health innovation can scale responsibly and effectively. A key enabler of Denmark’s digital success is its strong public governance framework.
Sundhedsdatastyrelsen (the Danish Health Data Authority) plays a central role in ensuring high data quality, interoperability, and the secure, ethical use of health data. Over decades, Denmark has developed comprehensive national health registries and digital infrastructures that support clinical practice, research, and innovation.
Similarly, Scotland also operates through publicly funded healthcare and has a high focus on digital development and data integration – particularly the roll out of the MyCare.Scot programme that commenced at the end of 2025.
Hence, Futurescot’s upcoming Health & Social Care Transformation conference is an immensely valuable opportunity for Denmark and Scotland to interact and knowledge exchange and ultimately transform patient care. The Embassy of Denmark in the United Kingdom is participating in the FutureScot conference together with a delegation.
The Danish delegation participating reflects the breadth of Denmark’s digital health ecosystem and consists of five companies: Digirehab, Pontem Data Group, Cortrium, Radiobotics and Netcompany. Each company offers a distinct solution aligned with Scotland’s healthcare priorities.
The Scottish-Danish collaboration will kick-off evening reception hosted at Glasgow City Chambers on Wednesday, 11 March between 5 –7 pm. If you are interested in attending, please reach out to Gargi Dwivedi at gardwi@um.dk.
The Danish delegation looks forward to engaging with Scottish stakeholders at the conference to explore collaboration opportunities. Please find a company introduction of each company in the Danish delegation:
